If you have the time and patience to do it, it would be helpful if you
would use the official upstream openoffice.org packages and report bugs
directly to their bug tracker for file compatibility issues. That would
take the middle man out of the equation and insure the bugs get fixed as

why she would have courier new and I wouldn't thoughthat's a strange
one but I'll look into it myself. Thanks again for explaining it and not
pointing out that I should have noticed it to begin with...

Oh and also note the way it looks on systems other than your own is also
the way it looks in Office 2010, I just verified it, which is most
likely correct being as its a doc file to begin with. :-)

I don't think there really as any bug here to be fixed, unless there is
a better font that should be substituted on your system. It appears the
problem with these two documents is due to the fonts you have on your
systems.
The original document was written in 'Courier New' but you do not have
it i
Now the original looks bad on mine as well -- I'm upgraded to Lucid so
I'm not really sure how to test it at this point
