This problem itself is resolved, sorry...
But in fact I had a similar problem with Maverick, on a fresh install, during
the grub install process, the installer refused to install Grub... I had to
make it with Live CD and chroot...

In fact my problem is that Grub DIDN'T install on MBR. I suppose it was
installed on my root linux partition.
The first time I rebooted the computer I had a BIOS error message saying
that no bootable hard disk was found. So I had to boot from Desktop CD,
and choose 'Boot From first Hard Disk' in t

Yes, that's currently the problem: The Desktop- CD installs GRUB into
the MBR and there is no other option.
With the ALTERNATE- CD you can chose the path where GRUB should be
installed. So, you will have to download the Alternate- CD.
Perhaps this will be fixed in the next release (Edgy)?
