Not sure I have the correct data to decode this. But it looks like there is a
problem following the attempt to issue an ATA pass-through command. Is the same
problem present when using a mainline kernel? For example the 2.6.33 from this

Right, the CurrentDmesg attachment points out the problem, the kernel
seems to "bounce" the device with lots of USB disconnects and
reconnects.
