I tried with Kubuntu 6.06.1 and install is successful. After few tries, I-m
unable to reproduce the issue.
I still can provide logs if You need them, though.

There's a reasonable chance that that this bug has been fixed, although
without log files I cannot be sure. Witold, if you can reproduce this
bug with Kubuntu 6.06.1, please reopen this bug and attach
/var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman. Anyone
else, please file a new b

BTW, I get the same error with both the DVD and CD installer. Logs uploaded
are from the CD install attempt. The filesystems /, /boot, and swap where
formatted during the previous DVD install attempt.
