I have the same behavior with
Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 2.20 [Mouse + KBD combo]
uname -r
2.6.17-10-generic
I used edgy without problems and only started seeing this behavior 2
days ago.
In my case unloading/reloading usbhid is enough to workaround the
problem.
One thing changed in my
