I didn't mean for the button to be *moved*, I meant to have the same
button in that section *as well*. In this way it would be more obvious
that the turtle button on the status bar does the same thing as the same
button would in preferences.

Yes. This is intentional. Transmission gives a few cues to indicate
that these are linked, such as the turtle icon and the identical

Ah okay, I see how this works now. I think there are two problems with
this:
(1) There is a button completely separate from where I set the speed
limit preferences that turns the feature on and off.
(2) Suppose you have this setup:
- temp speed limit (button in status bar) turned off.
I should have been more specific: in addition to the scheduled speed
limits, you can also enable/disable the Temporary Speed Limits manually
by clicking on the turtle icon in the statusbar at the bottom of the
main window. The turtle turns blue when the limits are enabled, and the
button's tooltip

of it? I mean, is there supposed to be a way to "turn it off" cos I
