Version of HPLIP is 1.6.6a from hplip.sf.net. I have compiled it without problems. This problem happens also with the Ubuntu shipped version of HPLIP. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> told me that it is something like a system issue. I will try my DeskJet 6840 on a new computer soon, and then I will see. I wo

Did you only install the PPD file from hplip.sf.net or also new version of hplip itself? What version of hplip do you have installed? Run the following command in a terminal to find out: $ dpkg -l hplip* | cat Can you please attach both PPD files, the one that gives the problem and the one you do
