Check repositories Daly is checked so I really don't know what is the
problem. I will try changing repositories from
si.archive.ubuntu... to only archive.ubuntu

Just to make sure that this is not a configuration problem please make
sure that you have actually set the preference to check for updates
daily.
I think It is in System->Administration->Software Properties or Syanptic
Package Manager.
I don't remember exactly.
I have never faced such problem.
I know that cause when I use "sudo apt-get update" update-notifier
iminiently notifys me how much updates do I have

Which Ubuntu mirror are you using? It may be possible that mirror is not
updated immediately.
How did you arrive at the conclusion that update-notifier doesn't check
