I retested with Ubuntu 6.06.1 (sorry, I don't have newer Ubuntu
installed now) and I still can see the problem.
Steps to retest:
$ sudo apt-get install lifelines-doc
$ zcat /usr/share/doc/lifelines-doc/ll-reportmanual.pdf.gz > ll-reportmanual.pdf
$ file ll-reportmanual.pdf
$ evince ll-reportman
