that if I wanted 3D graphics to download open source. I was also waiting for
the Noveau project to come up with open source 3D graphics.

In that case, Mark, can you go to System > Administration > Hardware
driver and disable/deactivate the Nvidia binary driver, and then reboot
and see if you can reproduce the issue with the open source driver.

Oh yes, this is a known Launchpad Bug #410205. Just delete
~/.cache/apport/ to re-set the privileges and get the question again in
the meantime.

Yes, I click on "Hardware Drivers", then I click on "Activate", which then
activates the NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 180), which then
changes my monitor settings from 1280x1042 to 1600x900.
The monitor picture is better, and everything seems to work properly until I
click on KM
