kpowersave 0.7.2 uses HAL for control. Can you reproduce this problem with your HW? Did you maybe try guidance-power-manager (kde-guidance-powermanager package, installed by default in edgy/feisty) if brightness controls work there? ** Changed in: kpowersave (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => N

I'm running Kubuntu Edgy. There are no error messages, other than KPowersave under the brightness settings tab simply giving the grammatically broken phrase, "Your hardware currently not support changing the brightness of your display." If you want more hardware information you're going to have to
