My desktop loads in about 25 seconds after disabling encrypting, both
/home and swap. I'm closing this bug since the speed optimisations will
come in with Lucid.

The full desktop load took about 35 seconds after I updated cryptsetup
from karmic-proposed. Before the update, the stuff at top right corner
appeared one after an other, the fusa being the last. After this update,
everything appeared at the same time, around 34 seconds after login.
Is it possible
Since the desktopcouch couchdb data lives in your home directly, it
could be related to the encryption (which is relatively CPU heavy) but
if so, not necessarily more so than other software. If everything else
is running at acceptable speeds, this may have a different cause.

Interestingly, that looks like there's a problem with starting
desktopcouch on that machine; it shouldn't be taking that long. Does the
file .cache/desktop-couch/desktop-couchdb.log in your home folder show
anything that looks like an error?

I don't have this issue on my samsung nc10, so this is a permormance
issue with older computers.

gnome-session command from gdm's xtern terminal.
