Hi all,
I was using XUbuntu 14.04 on my Inspiron 13z (or 1370) which was working well
with the Casif (or Carsten) solution.
For some reason, I had to change my linux to Linux Mint 17. But, the brightness
problem came back! and the Casif solution didn't work.
Did anyone have any solution to solve

I can confirm, that adding EnableBrightnessControl=1 works!
It is now possible to change the brightness. (Not very fine but it is
changeable nonetheless)

I think it is a problem with the BIOS.
We have to contact Dell to get a new BIOS update.
The BIOS Version A02 do not run correctly with the ACPI interface.
