It is also an issue with Karmic.

In comment #4 you wrote it's an issue with Karmic too.

About apport-collect problem, it's an apport bug in Lucid.
Please open a terminal and report here the result of giving this two
commands:
gvfs-mount -d /dev/fd0
and
sudo gvfs-mount -d /dev/fd0
After that, attach here u

If you entered this command
sudo apport-collect -p linux 475500
correctly, it should have collected a lot of info attaching them to this
bug report, it doesn't open another one.
I think something went wrong because it didn't attach anything.

In Karmic kernel 2.6.31-14 the same thing happens, but in Jaunty kernel
2.6.28-14 I get a mounting problem message on a specific floppy
(attached). I'm able to mount other floppies afterwards with no problems
in Jaunty.
