apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the
automatic retracer. First, execute at a terminal:
cd /var/crash && su
not anywhere related to totem. moving to ubuntu since I really dont know
whats crashing

I noticed both my totem and flash player hang on full screen.
A recent patch seems to have corrected the full screen video player.
However I thought a full backtrace might help to narrow down the
problem, assuming they have the same cause. (Logical fallacy?)

i just got new Dell Inspiron with Ubuntu.
There is the same problem: any video playback in fullscreen crashes the system.
i removed the totem and installed vlc- the same story. after that i changed
display resolution from native 1378*768 to 1024*768 and player was working in
fullscreen...
