I was seeing some similarly odd behavior recently under Edgy (perhaps
even Fiesty - not sure) on my laptop, that seemed to only occur after
restoring a hibernated session (not every time, though). I will report
back and see how close the symptoms [listed above] match if I come
across it again.

Hello, and thanks for reporting. I apologize for how long it took to get
this bug triaged. I'm going to mark this rejected for now as it seems to
be a problem with a home directory gone awry and would most likely be
something that, by now, will not be reproducible. Please, feel
