No, just Ubuntu 9.10 from 8 to no longer support LightScribe. Ubuntu
7.10 normally supports the same drive. But if the connection of the same
slot plug in an ordinary LG drive, then everything is OK. I shall here
note the fact that I am not the first user who is suffering from this
