This bug does not affect camorama. It affects the kernel. I tried kernel 2.6.32
and it appears to fix the problem.
We'll have to wait until this kernel is integrated to karmic ...
In the meantime, you can still install it manually:

Same here. Tried with cheese and I only get a green screen. Been like
that since 8.10. 1 year and not fixed. I have a logitech that works, but
not the MS one. Same kernel but 32 bit.
