That's a different problem that was introduced by the upgrade of the
fglrx driver just before Dapper was made final. Downgrading the
following packages solves that problem for me:
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.15-23-amd64-k8_2.6.15.10-2_amd64.deb linux-
restricted-modules-common_2.6.15.10-2_all.deb
