If you have a karmic live CD handy, I suggest trying to see if sound works with a fresh boot of the live CD. If so, then we can try to work out what configuratino on your system is preventing youf rom hearing sound. At a glance, your sound levels are turned up enough for sound to be heard. -- Sou
