There is still no way to define a priority list in network manager when
multiple networks are available. This feature would be indeed very
useful.

Good idea! This would be very useful as sometimes NM connects to an open
network in my neighborhood as soon as it looses contact to my own network.
I don't want NM to connect to this network at all, because it has no access for
me to the internet.

Agreed. I always get connected to my neighbor, then have to reconnect to
my network, Magrathea, manually.
