against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms

Hi Christophe, does the issue still happen when not using gnome-shell?
I notice seb moved the bug here from there so I gather he expects its a
general driver issue. If so, it should be possible to reproduce it
outside of gnome-shell.

Sorry to write again, but wanted to point out, there is not an ounce of
intel in my computer. asus motherboard, amd cpu, nvdia graphics.

i have the same problem with my nvdia 9600 card. i have the latest
driver for it, can't check number due to a bug with gnome shell.
the default graphics application has handed all calibration, including
monitor settings to my nvdia x server settings app, and refuses to
acknowledge even my screen s

exists with the most recent Lucid Lynx 10.04 Alpha release? ISO CD
