Happened to me too. but after leaving QT open for 5/10 minutes, or quitting and reopening a few times, it becomes normal. next restarts are quick and shutdown doesnot take long. I think QT tries to do something on initial run which takes a long time and can span multiple restarts. -- Qt Creator h
