Same type of messages within /var/log/syslog for a Levovo R61i with a
network attached HP Color LaserJet Printer cp1518ni. Printing works but
log contains similar warnings:
-begin of messages

again, and despite these errors in the log, my HP Laserjet now works via
usb to parallel adaptor:-

Has anything been done on this yet? I cannot use my laserjet with the
USB-parallel cable, but other USB printers work fine.

This also effects new installations loading printer drivers for a
