>From [1] and [2], it looks like this processor has a few constraints on
frequency scaling that make it hard to do. Quiescing DMA in order to do
this will require a framework for drivers to use and is unlikely to
happen since most modern processors don't have this constraint.

seeing that it's not been fixed upstream, I'm pretty sure that this bug
is still present in Jaunty. My machine runs hardy, so I can only verify
that it's still present on hardy.
