Looking at aMule's uptime statistic and the file's creation time, it was
not created until 30 minutes after aMule was started.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. I've installed the latest amule
release available into the archive, and no gmon.out file is created.
Plus as I told you before the --enable-profile flag is not given at
build time.

if you look at the rules file you will notice that --enable-profile is
not called at all.
