Ubuntu follows Debian for this package. At least, I haven't seen anybody
actually really involved in this package in Ubuntu. Debian hasn't
packaged the latest version, so you better req

package does not affect others and has much more improvements. Could you
please update it in Karmic before it's released, or if is not possible -
