Hi all.
This bug report is duplicated (I can't remember which one is the original), and
it's also fixed.
gnome-power-manager was broken with this hardware and we have been using an
alternate power-manager.
Now it works without problems.
cheers

Ciao.
Dovrebbe essere risolto da un bel po' di tempo.
Era un problema con il power-manager di gnome, che con questo hardware
interagiva in maniera non corretta.
Adesso funziona perfettamente
Ciao

I have found something:
it seems that it's not being able to set proper brightness, when it is inside
the X server, and than it tries and retries.
if I do: printf 100 > /proc/acpi/video/IGD/LCD/brightness
it does not work. If I do cat of the file don't see the value that I tried to
input.
But,
from 'dmesg' I can see this message repeating many times:
[ 33.689997] i915 :00:02.0: LVDS-1: EDID invalid.
