The problem may be because the 5Ghz band is reserved for wireless N devices - is your machine running a wireless-N compatible card, with correct wireless-N compatible drivers? If you can only connect on the 2.4Ghz band, this suggests that you are running a wireless-a/b/g card. -- I Can't Connect
