try as sudo, it segfaults on the second corner for me. Try running as

I was able to install eGalax driver using lnxusr's method. When running
the eGalaxTouch utility, as sudo, the 4 point calibration window always
highlights the same left bottom corner; it doesn't highlight any other
corners. It does the same with 9 points.

Ok, I found the problem. Your asking for xorg.conf led me to it.
It seams during the driver install, it was giving a "no such line '0' in
xorg.conf" error that I overlooked. Even with this error, it reported
everything OK at the end. This was due to the blank xorg.conf file I
created with touc
