Sorry, I found soo many bugs in ubuntu last two weeks so was very
confused what and where to post. Shure every bug must live in a separate
ticket.
Please answer to my questions.

That bug already exists, Bug #390833.
Also, it's very bad form to discuss a different bug in an unrelated bug
report.

Dustin, do you use ecryptfs for your homedir?
I just found another bug with ecryptfs. du not working:
u...@ubuntu:~/test$ ls -lh
total 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 user user 35M 2009-10-23 01:27 test
u...@ubuntu:~/test$ du -hs

And 'total 0' wrong too.

I did this exactly, on Karmic just now. I'm still not reproducing the
bug:
kirkl...@x200:~$ cd /tmp/
kirkl...@x200:/tmp$ hg init testrepo
kirkl...@x200:/tmp$ cd ./testrepo
kirkl...@x200:/tmp/testrepo$ echo "content" > testfile
kirkl...@x200:/tmp/testrepo$ ln -s testfile ./.testlink
kirkl...
Tyler Hicks, your steps are right, but you are riding on fedora. Please

Dustin, this is a very tricky bug, you need to use mercurial(hg) to
reproduce it. May be this bug related too?

I'm having no luck reproducing on 2.6.32-rc1. exe, please take a look and let
me know if I didn't follow your instructions properly:
---
$ uname -a
Linux fedora-virt 2.6.32-rc2 #13 SMP Thu Oct 1 16:34:39 CDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64
x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ grep ecryptfs /proc/mounts
/tmp/lower /tmp/upper
Hmm, I wasn't able to reproduce it with a simple directory with a symlink in it:
kirkl...@x200:~$ mkdir foo
kirkl...@x200:~$ cd foo/o
bash: cd: foo/o: No such file or directory
kirkl...@x200:~$ cd foo/
kirkl...@x200:~/foo$ date > foobar
kirkl...@x200:~/foo$ ln -s foobar link
kirkl...@x200:~/foo$ ls
