Yeah, it was an upgrade from Jaunty.
I have moved back to Jaunty now as my infrared remote control stopped
working as well.
I will install Karmic on another partition and then have a look.

Was this a dist-upgrade from Jaunty? I suspect so looking at the kernel
version.
If so, what was the version you were at on Jaunty? 0.21? 0.22?
