Ubuntu 9.10, Kernel 2.6.31-14-generic, MSI Wind 100
situation is similar edde306, but apparently the problem with vanilla
kernel, because archlinux when you upgrade to 2.6.31 the same thing
happened
we expect 2.6.32? or an error will be fixed in another version?

Same situation with me. Philips webcam worked fine under 9.04. After upgrade to
9.10 "could not detect video device ...".
lsusb appears to detect the device:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04a9:1729 Canon, Inc. MX700 ser
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0471:2034 Philips
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Fou
same here, BisonCam detected as Acer but it doesn't work.
it worked ootb in 9.04.
nothing in skype, nothing in cheese.

U100 here as well, webcam does not work in any program.
e.g. Cheese Webcam Booth etc - "No camera found"
