pt123, epiphany-gecko was discontinued/EOL'd a few months ago in the
GNOME 2.26 series and Karmic is using GNOME 2.27/2.28, so there si no
upstreams developers working on it, all the effort is now on -webkit

Epiphany Gecko is far superior to the webkit one. Which is a joke it can't
even open in new tabs.
If you want a Webkit browser use Chromium, bring back Epiphay Gecko.

I think the switch to Webkit is premature. Both browsers have severe
customizability limitations, but at least Epiphany-gecko allowed to you
tweak it with about:config.
This bug is not invalid BTW, right now this is what you get when you try
to install epiphany-gecko:
# apt-get install epiphany-g
CORRECTION: The base package of extensions for Epiphany are in fact
ported, but I can't find a way to get the extra extensions pack
(epiphany-extensions-more) installed.
It turns out the problem with getting logged into Launchpad is more
about the fact that the cookies don't seem to be getting sav
Damn, that's disappointing. I specifically left Firefox and switched to
Epiphany but Epiphany/Webkit really seems like it's not ready for prime
time IMO. There don't seem to be any working extensions, my form
information never gets saved to the point where I'm having to reset the
damned things on s
