Hi, you could try this to remove the bold texts on the panel (I don't
know if there's a better way out there though)

The change didn't make it to karmic. You can use the newest release of
Dust, though.

I quite like the way that Shiki does it, with bold text for the
Applications/Places/System menu but normal text for the clock, simply
because otherwise the clock uses up lots of space. Of course, having
Applications/Places/System in bold also takes up more space :(
