This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has
changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if
this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report
against it and we will take it from there.

Thanx for the workaround! Although it would be best if this module would
be loaded on startup by default, so that headset buttons would work out
of the box and inexperienced users wouldn't have to spend time looking
for a solution for the problem.

Same here! Running Ubuntu 10.04, using the deafult gnome-bluetooth
software. Have to do "modprobe uinput" every time.

I tried this with ubuntu 10.04 and i have to "modprobe uinput" before
connecting the bluetooth headset in order to get the buttons working.
So... yes, the problem is still there.
