This issue is reproducible with Intel DX58SO motherboard. It occurs when
when open sites which contains Rich AJAX or flash player. eg Yahoo
Chess. This problem is prominent on Ubuntu Versions greater than 10.04.
I reported this bug Bug 986773 with apport but they also regarded it as
"Incomplete". Y

Incidentally, request code 14 is GetGeometry at the protocol level,
which is either XGetGeometry or XGetWindowAttributes in xlib, which
means this might be a duplicate of bug 404924

It depends on whether the crash only ever happens when you start your
session, or if it happens when your session has been running for a
while. If it is the latter, then all you need to do is "killall gnome-
settings-daemon", then run a new instance with GDB (remembering "--sync
--no-daemon", else

Don't really know how to reproduce this though. It doesn't always happen.
gnome-settings-daemon is started when my session starts, correct?
The link Sebastien provided tells me to start the program in gdb. Where
do i change how it is run?
