Due to a problem with GRUB2, I had to do a fresh install of Karmic RC
today. It fixed most of my problems, but, unfortunately brought back the
suspend/resume bug :(
So somehow, somewhere along the line it was working between Jaunty and
Karmic, but a fresh install of Karmic renders it not working a
I upgraded to Karmic RC yesterday and I'd like to note that suspend is

/etc/hal/fdi/information/ and check if that helps.

internet is not fast enough to download an ISO, so I have to go to
university to use the internet but I won't be going in there today.
If someone else has this same bug could they test it out with karmic?

Can you confirm this issue exists with the most recent Karmic Koala 9.10
Alpha release? ISO CD images are available at

Karmic it would be great to then also test the latest upstream mainline
kernel available. This will allow

Might be worth mentioning that hibernate works, it's just very slow to
resume from hibernate.
