Joey,
I spoke with Manoj. The omnibook module should be available in staging
for lucid. Can you confirm this is fixed per the instructions in comment #5?
After discussing this with the Kernel Team, this will not be available as an
SRU in Karmic.

Actually I should have been marking this bug as duplicate for another bug:

They are pretty the same indeed, as well as all the rest from the chain

Please refrain from marking bugs as duplicates while not adding a
comment identifying the reason for the duplication. There is already a
Kernel Engineer assigned working on this issue. I have removed the entry
for the duplicate on this bug.

nevertheless, the dmesg output attached to this bug shows pretty the

I don't agree with this bug being marked as a duplicate. This bug
references the kernel, not whether or not there are rules to
automatically enable bluetooth.

This bug is on Toshiba Satellite U305 too.
On 9.04 I used omnibook module, downloaded and compiled from
omnibook.svn.sourceforge.net. On 9.10 it does not work.
This method was successful

I used this post

Not sure when/if this will be available in the universe archive on time.

Same problem here with a Toshiba U400.
It worked with the omnibook module in previous ubuntu releases, but the
omnibook-source package doesn’t compile any more without modification.
Manoj, could you provide an amd64 kernel for testing, or a source package ?
Thank you !

checkbox filed this against alsa because of the bluetooth headset test
