i should also add that the KDE error message pops-up here only now and then, usually after a logon. when this happens, VLC and flash do output sound correctly, while Amarok is mute. -- On Logon, Claims Sound Devices Were Removed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438224 You received this bug notific

An additional note: It seems if you remove the battery for a few hours (the recommended 10 sec does not work) then plug it back in again everything will work again. However, why has this started happening? I still see a bug here somewhere. Somehow KDE or whatever is setting the hardware in a odd st

Though I am not saying this is the issue, but it is the same type of issue we had earlier in the cycle as a result of Pulse Audio. Can you do the following in a comand lin

I'm confused, I thought Pulse Audio wasn't included in Kubuntu, only Ubuntu? This problem is persistent and I get it every time I log in. I installed all updates this morning and rebooted, and I am still having this problem. -- On Logon, Claims Sound Devices Were Removed https://bugs.launchpad.ne

If you removed Pulse Audio back then, the issue would go away. Now there has been a person here or there over the past few months who would popup w
