After filing my last comment above, I moved to Debian Lenny on that
machine, and so I no longer have easy access to Ubuntu. My newer
machine (also Debian) doesn't even have nvidia hardware.
Thus it's no longer a problem for me, but I have no idea if "Fix

This bug report was filed against an old version of Ubuntu.
Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty?
If you don't mind, it would be very helpful if you could update the bug

I have no idea; I didn't do anything special. I did accept any upgrades
_except_ kernel upgrades, as I'm already on 2.

Dave,
Thanks for the note. Yes, I am. I still have problems, but current

It froze again today (twice). After the first time, I killed FF to get
enough memory to run xrestop. The attached xrestop.out and xtop.out are
from that session.
Then I killed and restarted X, and things ran for a while. An hour and
a half later, it froze again. I was able to regain partial con
It crashed again overnight. While I couldn't figure out how to run
xrestop from a virtual console, I did run top -b -d 2 -n 5 in case it
helps.
If you can tell me if I can run xrestop from a virtual console, I'll try
that the next time it freezes.
