The video files named "flight_of_the_conchords_season__episode_.avi"
should be recognized as TV episodes and categorized as such.
I can confirm that they are not.

cleaned file names against the respective TV and movie databases. If no match
is found for a video, it goes to the uncategorized section, and you may then
manually categorize it.

You mean the 'Uncategorized Videos', right? That's where they belong
until they are categorized (automatically if possible) as a Movie or TV-
Show.

These file are all music files, and are being skipped appropriately
(while the rest of my music files are added to my collection), but this
doesn't explain anything about what's happening with the Video files, so
I'm changing the status back to "New".

If I undestand correctly, the rest of your files show up correctly in
the libraries. Even
I had an external device with video files on it the last time I started
moovida, but this time that wasn't attached. This time I manually went
in and added ~/Videos as a video source, and saw it scanning the right
amount of files, but didn't see anything in the Videos library section.
