Hi i have a branch with a grip that does not make use of the statusbar
widget The status text is not yet perfectly centered, but i can fix that
easily enough.

standard status bar control (or to allow arbitrary alignment of text in
status bar controls).

So how is a window supposed to be able to have a resize grippy when it
doesn't have a status bar at all? For example, if it has a vertical
scrollbar with a grippy below it? Is that just not possible in GTK yet?

Basically to have a resize grippy, we need a status bar, however in the
status bar, the text in now centered.
The other option is to use a text label, in which case there is no
resize grippy

Fixed in my branch, but then opens the issue of the status bar text not
being centered, it seems we can only have one (unless I am wrong).
