I noticed that "xterm -rv" (ie black background instead of white)
prevents the issue from occurring. gnome-terminal defaults to a white
background though, so it's a bit odd that this changes anything for
xterm. It seems like an uninteresting hardware issue to us.

I can reproduce this everytime with the following steps.
1) Click terminal icon from the panel
2) Type xterm in the console
3) xterm starts and video begins to flicker.
Sometimes it flicks back in for a second or so only to disappear again.

I cannot seem to reproduce this under babbage 2.5 either. @Loïc are you
still able to reproduce this? Is it just a Babbage 2.0 thing?
