under Karmic and may be closed.

I don't know what was updated prior to this issue - i have my security
updates set to apply automatically, and i'm not sure which logs record
the progress. However, Firefox was also affected after i closed and
tried to reopen it, so i suspect something in libc or the mozilla
libraries was updated.
could you give details on what you updated before getting the issue?
