3D should work rather well on your card with default drivers. Can you please attach the corresponding logs, and explain exactly what you mean by "video wasn't working so great"? -- Enabling the radeonhd driver on an x1550 fails... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426970 You received this bug notif

They were removed before upgrading to the beta of Karmic and my video wasn't working so great then either. I was hoping Karmic would improve that. But the information I posted was as of post #20 in this thread. -- Enabling the radeonhd driver on an x1550 fails... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs

You are running the vesa driver, hence the low performance. (II) LoadModule: "ati" (WW) Warning, couldn't open module ati (II) UnloadModule: "ati" (EE) Failed to load module "ati" (module does not exist, 0) Did you remove the default xserver-xorg-video-ati and xserver-xorg- video-radeon packages

For 3D acceleration, you should try removing the xserver-xorg-video- radeonhd package and also your xorg.conf, so that the default -ati/-radeon driver can start. In any case, please attach your Xorg.0.log, or use "apport-collect 426970". ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd (Ubuntu)

I've attached all that was requested. I should note that this is after removing radeonhd and adding back radeon. Performance is still quite substandard. -- Enabling the radeonhd driver on an x1550 fails... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426970 You received this bug notification because you are
