I get a hang after I finish associating the newly created partition to
mount points. The gtkgui installer doesn't create the list of install
options so I can't click the "install" button. I can't get to the logs
either. It's total hang time.

I just got a similar hang while installing Edgy from a fresh ISO and
trying to to manual partioning since I got both Mepis and Windows XP
(bad boy, bad boy) at the laptop. After some investigation in a terminal
a 'ps aux' revealed that gparted was started and that it was waiting for
a dosfsck on my

Edgy is in Release Candidate right now, and is expected to get out by october
