Packaging is done to provide more functionnalities to everyone, and
libbluetooth3 is 70KB package.
If you want a lightweight installa, I would also advice to remove evolution.

What is the problem with leaving this package installed? It is not a very
large package. If you are trying to go lightweight, you could try other email
clients.

I have the same problem, using Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope (9.04), and
4.32-0ubuntu4.1 version of the "libbluetooth3".

Since I have no bluetooth devices at all on my server, I wanted to
remove all bluetooth related packages. Using synaptic, I could remove
all of the bluetooth packages except libbluetooth3. It threaten to
remove evolution, which kinda blows my mind.
