Please find the autofoo fixes we discussed on IRC in the attached patch.
This moves to external gettext and pkg-configs gtk+.
This fixed the bulk of the issues for me.
You just need to run the make -C po kasumi.pot, set LDFLAGS as explained
in bug #403189 and update build-deps after this patch (
xsltproc has already been dropped (albeit only five minutes ago,
changeset not yet pushed ;-))
let's make a list of things that need to be addressed for MIR to be
successful and defer the others for a -2 release. I will release kasumi
2.5-1 immediately upon completion of the "has-to-be-addressed"

Some comments on packaging:
- please add ${misc:Depends}, recommended by dh >= 5 (I wonder why lintian
doesn't catch it here)
- debian/copyright doesn't mention the GPL version (v2 or later) -- and the
builtin copy of intl/ but that's common
- please avoid passing --host if you aren't cross compi
