Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We have a new rhythmbox version in Lucid. If you could
test this bug in the new version, this would help us a lot. If you can
test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could
upload updated logs
This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody

I use iTunes to sync songs to my iPod, and post-modification in
Rhythmbox, iTunes displays the track length as an impossibly high 734
minutes. Seems to confirm the header is being borked.

Take a m4a file that plays fine on your iPod (I have a old 5th
generation) and change the genre of it in Rhythmbox. After coping the
file back to your ipod (I use gtkpod) your ipod will attempt to play the
song but after a couple seconds it will advance to the next song, never
outputting any sound.

Thanks for the report, could you attach an example file and tell us a
few easy steps in order to reproduce the issue? I own an ipod so might
be easier for me to reproduce here with an example file and
instructions, thanks.

After looking at the affected files in Easy Tag, they all seem to have the
following problems:
Year is 2005-1-, before it was just 2005
Total Tracks is 01 or 02, before it was accurate
Before they did not have a picture, now they have a picture but it can't be
viewed
The file size is approximate
